  • Yes, there are minimum size requirements related to snorkel gear fit.

    • Wetsuits:
      Our smallest wetsuits typically fit guests 70 lbs and up.
      Guests under 70 lbs may need to bring their own wetsuit to ensure proper fit and warmth.

    • Fins:
      Our fins typically fit guests with a men’s shoe size 4 or larger.
      Guests with smaller feet may need to bring their own fins.

    Our crew is always happy to help with sizing, but properly fitting gear is important for comfort and safety.

  • If your child is under 70 lbs or has a shoe size smaller than men’s 4, we recommend bringing your own wetsuit and/or fins to ensure a comfortable fit.

    • Garibaldi and other reef fish

    • Kelp forests

    • Sea lions and harbor seals

    Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but they are common.

  • That’s completely okay.

    The day is flexible, and breaks are encouraged. Guests can snorkel as much or as little as they like. Our crew is happy to help kids ease in at their own pace.

  • This is a full-day trip.

    You’ll check in in the morning, departure is at 9am, travel to the Channel Islands, spend the day snorkeling, and relaxing, and return in the afternoon. Exact times vary by day and conditions.

  • Yes. All meals are included and served onboard. We serve breakfast and a BBQ lunch. There are also snack throughout the day.

    If your child has dietary restrictions, we recommend bringing supplemental snacks just in case.

  • Yes. The Spectre is equipped with two restrooms onboard, both with hot showers.

  • We recommend bringing:

    • Swimsuit (wear it under your clothes)

    • Towel

    • Sunscreen

    • Hat

    • Warm layers

    • Reusable water bottle

  • If you or your child are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking preventative measures before the trip.

    Staying hydrated, eating a light breakfast, and bringing motion sickness remedies can help. If you have questions, feel free to contact us.

    If weather or ocean conditions are not suitable for snorkeling, the crew may adjust the itinerary, locations, or activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable day.

  • No. This is a snorkel-only trip. No scuba diving takes place on these trips.
